Meet Your Instructors
Trevor
MCAT Score: 524
Education: University of California, Santa Barbara, BS Biological Sciences
Trevor has been teaching the MCAT since 2020 and believes that tutoring not only serves the purpose of helping students better understand difficult material, but also provides them with the opportunity to discover how they learn best. He most enjoys being a part of those breakthrough moments when a certain learning approach just seems to click and previously difficult material begins to be understood with ease. Prior to becoming a tutor, Trevor worked as a clinical EMT in the MedSurg/ICU department of a critical access hospital and enjoys spending his free time either grilling, snowboarding, or competitively powerlifting
Hanna
MCAT Score: 519
Education: University of California, San Diego, BS in Neurobiology
For Hanna, teaching is more than just learning content and testing strategies but rather an opportunity to uncover a student's strengths and develop successful and useful skills that go beyond the MCAT. She most enjoys when students personalize their learning to incorporate different aspects of their lives. Currently, Hanna works as a research assistant in the neurosciences department at the UCSD School of Medicine and serves as the Chapter President of the national pre-medical organization Phi Delta Epsilon. In her free time, Hanna likes to puzzle, go to farmers markets, and read

Luke
MCAT Score: 520
Education: Baylor University, BS Cell and Molecular Biology, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, MD
Luke began tutoring students in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and genetics as well lecturing for an undergraduate course at Baylor in 2021. He knows the MCAT is a puzzle to be solved and views it as an opportunity for students to show off the knowledge and skills that they develop during prep! To Luke, teaching the MCAT is about much more than explaining content; he knows that empowering students with confidence and equipping them with specific strategies is the key to student success. Having studied for the exam while taking a full course load and working a part-time job, Luke knows that every second of studying counts. Luke achieved a perfect 132 on the Chem/Phys section of the MCAT and enjoys breaking down even the most daunting of passages into easily digestible snippets. He loves to bring laughter, enthusiasm, and encouragement to all of his MCAT teaching sessions. In his spare time, you can usually find Luke on the pickleball court or cooking with his wife.
Sarrah
MCAT Score: 518
Education: Stanford University, BS Human Biology
Sarrah has a long history in education, from tutoring math in high school to being a TA in human biology and computer science courses at Stanford. Her teaching philosophy centers on finding what works for each student’s learning style. As someone who studied for the MCAT in just two months, she knows the importance of efficient studying by finding the techniques that best suit each individual. After all, that was how she was able to score a 131 in both the Chem/Phys and Psyc/Soc sections! Sarrah is a Los Angeles native, currently working in Rochester, New York where she is currently working as a Parkinson's disease clinical research coordinator at the University of Rochester. Her interests in medicine lie in public and community health, especially women’s health. When she is not working, Sarrah can be found playing Bananagrams, perusing the aisles of Trader Joe’s, doing the NYT crossword, or attempting a recipe from the Great British Baking Show.
William
MCAT Score: 522
Education: University of California, Davis, BS Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
William has been teaching and tutoring since 2015 and loves sharing his enthusiasm for learning with others. His favorite part of teaching is seeing that metaphorical light bulb when a student grasps a challenging topic. William was a student of Blueprint to study for his own MCAT and loved the experience so much that he wanted to apply his skills toward helping other premed students prepare for their big exam. He particularly enjoys teaching MCAT strategy and efficiency so that students are ready to tackle anything on test day. William knows that life can sometimes get in the way of studying goals. He lost several weeks of studying for the test due to a major surgery; however, with careful planning and using the tools provided by Blueprint, he was able to overcome this obstacle and get a 522 on test day (99th percentile). When he is not pursuing his passion for teaching William loves to snowboard, surf fish, backpack, play video and board games, and play soccer.
Matthew
MCAT Score: 523
Education: UCLA, BS Bioengineering, University of Massachusetts, MD/PhD
Matt is a supportive and pssionate tutor who believes that focusing on students' individual obstacles is vital to improvement and success. He has been a TA for undergraduate engineering courses, an MCAT tutor and class instructor, and has even taught guitar and piano when he was in high school. In all of these endeavors, Matt has found that a solid base of fundamentals and a clear plan for progression has lead to the best results. In medical school, Matt quickly realized that preparing for the USMLE was different from doing well in his curricular blocks. He found that using a combination of third party resources and Anki to build a high yield base of knowledge integrated with spaced repetition was his roadmap to success. Matt expects plenty of legwork from his students but is quick to identify ways to streamline their studying and guide them through tricky content or test traps. Throughout the process, you'll be sure to appreciate his focus, calm, and passion for helping you build the test-taking skills needed to thrive. Matt is a fantastic test-prep ally and can't wait to help you succeed!
Henry
MCAT Score: 520
Education: Reed College, BA English, Creative Thesis, Bryn Mawr, PhD, Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, MD
Henry is a second year med student at OHSU. has been teaching since graduating college in 2011. He has taught in numerous contexts, from rural Rwanda to a wilderness youth corps to an American high school. This experience has left Henry a strong believer in getting to truly know his students, listening to understand how they learn, and adapting to meet every student where they are. He especially loves opportunities to work with students on the subjects they struggle with. Henry scored a 132 on CARS and likes to remind students that careful reading helps with every section of the test, not just CARS. In his spare time, Henry likes to spend time outdoors (hiking, biking, and anything involving a boat), play his drums, and read bad fantasy novels.
Alexander
MCAT Score: 524
Education: University of Florida, BS Statistics , Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, MD
For Alex, MCAT instruction is focused on understanding the individual student and developing sustainable study habits that will persist into medical school and beyond. He most enjoys it when students start to love subjects that were initially frustrating to them. Alex received a perfect 132 on the Chem/Phys section and loves reminding students of interconnected science concepts. He helps students develop strategies and critical thinking skills to answer questions correctly, even in content they have never seen before. His background in Statistics provides students with the necessary data literacy essential to all MCAT sections. Currently, Alex leads Music for Medicine, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting individuals in central Florida with intellectual and developmental disabilities to local high school and collegiate musicians. As an aspiring physician, he hopes to pursue a career in academic medicine, focusing on disabilities in society, the humanities in medicine, and artificial intelligence in medicine. Alex loves to swim, bake, and play tennis in his free time.
Kevin

He also developed curricula for the Health Sciences Education Program, an organization created to supplement the health lessons of K-12 students in Los Angeles. Kevin enjoys guiding students to an understanding of material based on their unique learning styles. His approach to teaching involves creative displays of information and lively student-instructor conversations. Kevin earned a perfect 132 on the Bio/Biochem section and a 131 on CARS, and his favorite subjects are Anatomy and Physiology. He is excited to attend the Keck School of Medicine beginning in 2024.
